Why is a circulation pump low-head?
In a closed loop the pump only needs to overcome pipe and fitting friction, not lift water against gravity, so it is sized for flow at relatively low head.
Can I use a heating circulator for potable hot water?
Not necessarily. Potable hot-water recirculation typically requires bronze or stainless wetted parts, whereas cast-iron circulators are common in closed heating loops. Confirm material suitability against the datasheet.
