Electrical Load Calculator

Enter the home area and major appliances to estimate total electrical demand (after a rough diversity allowance) and a suggested main breaker size. Use it to scope the supply; a qualified engineer confirms the design.

FAQ

How is the total demand estimated?
General lighting and socket load is taken as roughly 20 W/m², plus air-conditioning, water heating and kitchen loads with a rough diversity allowance (not everything runs at once). The result is a planning figure, not a formal load schedule.
What is diversity (demand factor)?
Diversity recognises that not all loads run at full power simultaneously, so the total demand is less than the sum of all connected loads. Actual factors depend on the installation and local rules; confirm with an engineer.
