A Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent (RCBO) combines earth-leakage detection with overload and short-circuit protection in one DIN-rail unit. It protects a single circuit against both shock hazards and overcurrent, avoiding nuisance tripping across multiple circuits.

Why choose an RCBO over an RCCB plus MCB?
An RCBO combines both functions in one module, so an earth fault or overload trips only its own circuit rather than a whole group of circuits, improving selectivity and saving board space.
Does an RCBO replace the main switch?
No. An RCBO protects an individual final circuit; the board still needs a main incoming switch or isolator as required by the installation design.
